New Year . . . New Priorities.

I can hardly believe I am here, in 2010 that is. Almost a decade ago my Emma was born. A decade ago, I was still fairly newly married (and barely into my 30's!) So much has changed within this decade and here we are, entering the last year of it. I wonder what changes will come this year?

I didn't make any New Years Resolutions per Se, but I decided on a few things, like the fact that I am going to read a lot more books on health and I am going to take a more Holistic and organic approach to the care of myself and my family. Not that we are the worst eaters and not that I am not caring for my family well; but I can do better and I should. After all, we are born with one body and one life . . . well, one earthly life anyway. I want to do the best that I can for us. I am the mom, it is what I need to do. It is my responsibility. We recently watched Food, Inc. I highly recommend it. It will make you think just a little bit more about your food. I am also reading the book Knockout, by Suzanne Somers. I am barely a quarter of the way through the book and I am amazed. I knew a lot of the stuff already but again, it makes one think. And we should. Who better than to be advocates of our own bodies than us? I mean truly, we are responsible for us, aren't we? I am not saying to go off the deep end, but just be informed, that's all. Sometimes I feel as if we as as a whole have become like a herd of sheep heading for slaughter.

We want to be debt free, in a big way. Kevin and I are working on that one. How can we help others as much as we would like when we have bills that we don't need? We realize that residual income is the way to go. I am working on that too. I plan on putting my time and efforts into SendOutCards this year. I see tremendous potential, and it's fun. I love to send cards so it's a no-brainer. Check it out - maybe it will be for you too. We all need more income don't we? If this isn't for you, find something that is.

Mainly, I see my kids growing so fast. I will officially have a teenager this year. Savannah and I are almost eyeball-to-eyeball. What happened to the little girl of a decade ago? I want to savor every moment with the ones I love, and make sure I take the time to enjoy my kids, my husband, my family and my friends. After all, that is what life truly is about, is it not?

What are your goals? I would really love to know. No pressure, but we can do a little bit every day and before we know it, we have accomplished quite a lot.

I hope your dreams become realities this year. I hope that 2010 will be your best year ever!

Much love,
