Happy Birthday Ladybug!

Ladybug (11 weeks old)

Yep it's true. Ladybug turned three today. In case you were wondering about her, she is part Greyhound/Saluki/Whippet. She was born at All Breed Rescue after her mother had been rescued. Her mom was a long haired brindle. You can read a little about her in their Dog Tales, just scroll down to see her. She was such an adorable puppy and we fell in love right away. Because I did most of her care taking, I became her "person". When I am at home, she is always close by.

She was a crazy, nervous, "chew everything in sight" kind of puppy, but since then, she has settled into a wonderful and loving dog, who rarely chews anything anymore.

Ladybug has had a full day already. This is what she did:

She got to sleep under the covers this morning, just like she likes to do (when we let her!) . . .

We took the kids to school . . .

You can't tell me dogs don't smile . . .

We went to Petco (because that's where all the good toys are) . . .

Look at all the toys . . .

She pondered which toy to choose . . .

She got her nails trimmed (that was NOT her favorite part) . . .

She ran in the park . . .

And then she ran some more . . .

All-in-all, it was a pretty good morning . . .

One final note, mixed breeds rule and I believe that everyone should have at least one!
